Ekome is pre-launch. When we have something worth your reading time, it will appear here with a date on it. Until then, this page sets out what to expect, what we have ruled out, and how to be told when the first note lands.

Evidence notes

Short, referenced write-ups of what the literature does and does not establish for a given organism, species or production stage — including the studies that found no effect. Written for nutritionists, with the citations attached so you can go and read the paper yourself.

Regulatory updates

Movement that affects feed additives in the markets we serve: the additive registers under Reg. (EC) 1831/2003, labelling and claim boundaries, and the equivalent position in Ghana. Explained plainly, without the consultancy upsell at the end.

What we find when a product meets real conditioning temperatures, real retention times and real houses — published with the partner’s permission, and published whether or not the result flatters us.

The things we have decided not to write.

  • Independent results dressed up as ours. Where we quote published work by other groups using their own strains, it is attributed on the page it appears — and it stays attributed.
  • Customer quotations we were never given, from job titles we invented. We have no commercial customers yet, so we have no testimonials, and we will not manufacture one.
  • Certification or approval badges. We hold none. A badge is the easiest thing in this industry to imply and the hardest for a buyer to check.
  • Announcements about announcements — partnerships with no partner named, launches with nothing to ship, milestones that are really just calendar dates.

Be told when it starts

One email, when there is one worth sending.

There is no newsletter schedule here, because a schedule obliges you to write on the days you have nothing to say. Send us your work email and we will add you to the list for evidence notes and regulatory updates. You will hear from us when something is actually published, and not otherwise.

We hold your address for that purpose alone. We do not pass it to anyone. One line back to us takes you off the list permanently, and how we handle it is set out in our privacy notice.

Ask to be added

Email us with your name, your company and the species you work with, and we will do the rest. A technical question in the same message is welcome — we answer those within two working days.

The reasoning behind our formulations is already on the site, with the published sources attributed and the gaps marked as gaps. It is a better use of ten minutes than any news item we could have written today.
